Graphic Designer

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Completed coursework in Graphic Design or relevant experience

  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

  • Strong typographic skills and an eye for color and composition

  • A passion for luxury paper goods and small business branding

  • An extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Knowledge of web design, development, and/or Squarespace customization a plus, but not required

  • Illustration and/or calligraphy skills a plus, but not required

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company, as well as contribute ideas

what you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting Creative Director with daily tasks and projects

  • Working with Project Manager to prioritize and meet tight deadlines

  • Preparing files for print and production

  • Assisting production team with assembly and outgoing orders when necessary

  • Developing custom stationery suites

This is a paid, full-time position. Candidate must be able to work from our Gaithersburg Studio at least 4 days a week.

Part-Time Studio Assistant

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A love for all things creative and hands-on! Think: assembly, ribbon tying, wax seals, envelope liners, alphabetizing, edge tearing, packaging and mailing orders, and so much more!

  • A passion for luxury paper goods, an extreme attention to detail, and a creative eye

  • Ability to manage tasks, schedule and workload effectively

  • Strong organizational skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Receiving stationery orders and conducting quality control

  • Invitation suite assembly and production

  • Packaging and shipment/delivery of orders

  • Pickups and drop offs to and from local vendors

  • Aiding in client meeting preparation

  • Organizing samples and implementing a new archive system

  • General studio upkeep

This is a paid position requiring at least 15 hours per week. Exact hours and schedules are flexible and may vary week-to-week.

 

Graphic Design Intern

  • Assisting Graphic Designer and Creative Director with daily tasks and projects

  • Creating custom artwork, patterns, and illustrations

  • Collaborating with creative team to develop innovative concepts for luxury stationery suites

  • Assisting production team with assembly and outgoing orders when necessary

This is an unpaid internship requiring approximately 15 hours per week. Exact hours and schedules are flexible and may vary week-to-week. We are happy to complete any required paperwork to grant college course credit.
